Corridor is a band from Montreal, and Junior, their first album to be released via Sub Pop / Bonsound, was completed yesterday. Just a few days after signing their contracts, the rock'n'roll band entered the studio, racing against the clock to create the most dazzling, spontaneous, and audacious album of their young career: 39 minutes of darting and dodging guitars, spiraling vocal harmonies, imbued with the complex nostalgia of a Sunday afternoon. Corridor is no stranger to the game. Junior is the band's third full-length album, which, like the two previous ones, was recorded with their friend, producer Emmanuel Ethier. Two voices, two guitars, a bass, a drum: the timeless setup of Corridor delivering music that is muscular, exciting, and full of love, with riffs that act as a remedy. Junior is a joy, a rushed miracle, because it’s so much fun to listen to. Since this album lasts 39 minutes and there are 24 hours in a day, you can listen to it 36 times by tomorrow.
