Originally from St Etienne, Pier and Flo share two worlds, two visions of music which, once brought face to face, will never separate again and will continually enrich each other. Very quickly, a common taste emerges. In music, the two boys are drawn to the albums of Polnareff, Michael Jackson, Queen and Mylène Farmer. Better still, they discover a shared passion for literature (Baudelaire, Rilke, Hugo) and art (Doré, Tamara de Lempicka, Girodet). So many references that will help shape this first album. Aesthetically, Cassandre sits somewhere between the paintings of Géricault and the videos of Woodkid. A beauty as cold as it is moving, a certain refinement and a grandiose minimalism. By raising €100,000 in just 4 days on MyMajorCompany, Cassandre teamed up with Tiery-F (Tal, Shy'm) to produce this first album. The result is music far from reality, far from any point of reference, where the influences of the two young men blend together: symphonic orchestrations, new wave synths, pop tunes and electro sounds. Lyrics written by two artists in love with literature, passionate about words. In the background, an obvious epic quality, largely staged in the first single “Ma révolution”.
