You can’t judge a book by its cover,’ according to the Bo Diddley song - but you can certainly recognize a record made by Bo Diddley. For that reason, this record is one of the most important in our Rocks series. Here is a complete CD of truly original and groundbreaking rock and roll, presented as only Bo Diddley could do it, and as only Bear Family Records® can do it. Bo Diddley’s music had a unique rhythm, an individuality, an ‘attitude,’ and it was part of the basic fabric of rock and roll during its heyday, from the mid-1950s to the early 1960s. At that time, there was always a Bo Diddley record in the U.S. R&B charts (11 in total) and 5 of them also made the pop charts.
