The grand return of Arch Enemy, a pillar of the Swedish melodic death scene. Technical and violent, uncompromising, Arch Enemy also has a melodic impact. In addition to an omnipresent brutality interspersed with breathtaking guitar solo duels, melody remains a privileged ground for Arch Enemy, using truly evocative solos. You can also find a few nuggets of savagery here and there, a sort of reminiscence of the early Thrash-Death years. The two guitarists are indeed prodigious musicians, comfortable in all styles. The new figurehead of the band is called: Alissa White-Gluz, her rage reaches new heights in War Eternal, don't expect a hint of clean vocals from her. Alissa thus delivers an extraordinary performance.
