Since their rapid rise at the height of the lockdown, STONE from Liverpool tends to thrive better when leaning into chaos. After establishing themselves once again as a vital force on the global punk scene with their first album of 2024, 'Fear Life For A Lifetime', the band is back with a successor, rich with their most thoughtful and impactful works to date. "AUTONOMY" fiercely testifies to the resilience, fighting spirit, and unity of the group. After publicly ending their agreement with a major record label earlier this year, it’s the sound of friends settling old scores while relearning how to have fun. Evoking this sense of freedom behind the material, singer Fin Power asserts that the band was determined to finally set aside the industry nonsense and make the album they wanted. This sense of cohesion and togetherness is largely manifested in 'AUTONOMY' – an album that showcases Power at his most introspective and vulnerable, while sonically maintaining the gritty and powerful sound that has allowed the band to retain its main stage status across Europe. A perfect taste of this balance is the thrilling single 'Money See Monkey Do', a confident and attitude-filled grunge epic from Britpop's peak.
