Stanley Turrentine's exceptional 1964 album, In Memory Of, navigates between hard bop swing, beautiful ballads, and African rhythms, with the saxophonist leading a formidable sextet featuring Blue Mitchell (trumpet), Curtis Fuller (trombone), Herbie Hancock (piano), Bob Cranshaw (bass), and Otis "Candy" Finch (drums). Tone Poet Stereo, all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI.
