The last of the 4 albums recorded by Sam Rivers for Blue Note in the 1960s, Dimensions & Extensions stands out for the presence of Donald Byrd, in a rare foray of the trumpeter into the avant-garde, alongside Julian Priester, James Spaulding, Cecil McBee, and Steve Ellington, on compositions by Rivers. Tone Poet stereo edition, fully analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl, presented in a deluxe gatefold sleeve.
