The Sai Galaxy project is back, bringing together West African legends Steve Monite and Rob, West African legends, with multi-instrumentalist Simon Durrington, guitar master Alfred Bannerman and trumpeter Bade of Egypt 80 for a second EP of afro-disco and soul. The EP follows the 2022 EP Get It As You Move, blending layers of vocal harmonies and synth textures with a solid disco foundation. The sound remains true to the analog production techniques of the 70s and 80s, while adding a modern touch inspired by Durrington’s Digital Afrika project. The first single, "Hold You Tonight," is performed by Nigerian disco icon Steve Monite (best known for his mega hit "Only You"), who revisits his 80s roots with a dancefloor track. "Rich Man Poor Man" (featuring Ghanaian ROB) slows the tempo and highlights the influence of highlife, while "Sometimes It Rains" brings a neo-soul touch with the Omar-esque sound of Fijian singer Kaivili.
