Queen, which Dave Grohl recently declared to be his favorite album of all time, was recorded in the same studio as David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust. Since Queen had no money, the band recorded during the time not used by Bowie, that is, at three in the morning, after Bowie had gone to bed. Queen is their rawest album, influenced by The Who, Hendrix and Led Zep.
