Peet, 32, is one of the key figures in the Belgian rap scene. A writer, rapper, and singer from Brussels, he has forged his musical identity through family heritage (from jazz to rock to soul), a passion for rap, and a love of instruments. After making a mark with his collective Le 77, he is carving out a unique path as a solo artist and refining his style, project by project. His latest album Joyboy is a testament to this. The title is a nod to the manga One Piece. The project is an intimate, bright, and organic record. It is a declaration of faith: that of an artist who transforms his doubts into melodies. A musical journey into the world of a "sun king," driven by sensitive writing and rich instrumental production.
