The first album by French guitar hero Patrick Rondat is available again in a remastered version! Released in 1989, Just For Fun quickly established Patrick Rondat as a benchmark of instrumental hard rock in France. Driven by already impressive virtuosity, the album reveals a world where technical skill and melody meet seamlessly. From the opening track, “Life Force,” Patrick Rondat asserts a strong identity, at the crossroads of heavy metal and instrumental showcase playing, still rare at the time on the French scene. With Just For Fun, he lays the foundations of a style that would set him apart for years to come: precise, fast playing, but always in service of emotion. This album thus captures the beginnings of a musician already fully in command of his art, and remains an essential listen today for guitar lovers.
