Our favorite masked cowboy and the most innovative artist in current country music is back at the height of his art with a new album titled "Mule." Orville Peck's fourth studio album stands out as his most intimate and ambitious work to date. Following the EP Appaloosa released last year and an electrifying performance at the Trianon in Paris, this album presents itself as a chronological narrative of the year that changed his life, recounting the collapse caused by addiction, the difficult quest for sobriety, and the slow, often uncertain process of rebuilding. Told with unflinching honesty, humor, and compassion, Mule shows Peck confronting love, loss, and the search for identity through songs that oscillate between the narrative tradition of classic country, bluegrass, and Americana in all its breadth.
