With "I'll Wait For You," Swiss singer-songwriter NNAVY opens a bold new chapter, marking her most accomplished work to date. Known for her soulful and moving voice, effortlessly navigating between R&B, soul, and jazz, NNAVY has built a solid reputation in recent years the old-fashioned way: through raw talent and unforgettable live performances, from opening for Lionel Richie at the Montreux Jazz Festival to sold-out promotional tours in her home country, not to mention a Swiss Music Award. The first single, "Slowly Burning," offers a glimpse into the emotional depth of the album. A song born, according to NNAVY, from a "feeling of impending anxiety," written at the end of her twenties, a time when the future is uncertain and the present suddenly precious. This tension between urgency and joy, between awareness and liberation, runs throughout the album "I'll Wait For You," where NNAVY invites the listener to a final ride on the carousel, to dance, to laugh, to fully live in the moment. Richer and more assertive than her previous works, this album reflects a true evolution: a more defined identity, deeper narratives, and a desire to tackle the big questions of life without losing any of its warmth or groove. Pressed here on vinyl, "I'll Wait For You" confirms NNAVY's place among the most promising Swiss voices on the international stage.
