The WEWANTSOUNDS collective returns with a special Brazil mix selection of Bossa and Carioca Samba gems from the period, packed with rarities and cult classics that will appeal to diggers as well as casual listeners. Bossa Nova swept across the world during the 1960s, but the revolution was already underway at the end of the 1950s thanks to artists such as João Gilberto, Vinicius de Moraes, Elis Regina, Elza Soares, who paved the way. Not to mention more underground artists but no less interesting ones such as Orlann Divo, Johnny Alf and Celso Murilo. BOSSANOVA is a unique selection of Bossa and Samba Canção tracks (a slower, more relaxed form of Samba, a cousin of Bossa). Tune in to Brazilian time with BOSSANOVA. A 2CD and 40-track set compiled by the WEWANTSOUNDS collective with liner notes by journalist and Brazil specialist Jacques Denis (Libération)
