The name MESHUGGAH speaks for itself. Respected as one of the most inventive and creative “metal” bands of the last 30 years, since the beginning of their illustrious career the Swedish quintet has unquestionably been the standard-bearer for extreme and avant-garde music. Six years after The Violent Sleep Of Reason, their latest album to date, 2022 finally brings a revelation as fresh as it is formidable. Shaking up all expectations, this ninth opus, Immutable, is simply the wildest and most esoteric sonic adventure MESHUGGAH has offered us to date. Legendary... Unique... with a frightening consistency, the magic of MESHUGGAH allows metal consciousness to be raised to a level far beyond what one can ordinarily hear. The Swedish heavyweights practically invented the 'djent' subgenre with their low-tuned dissonant riffs, polyrhythmic drumming and use of odd time signatures, and their ninth full-length shows no sign of refining their avant-garde and aggressive tendencies in their sound. Fans of Gojira, Strapping Young Lad and TesseracT will love this LP.
