The fifth album by the Birmingham industrial/doom metal band Khost explores new, often nightmarish territories while maintaining their walls of detuned guitars, corroded percussion, and VHS atmospheres. The tracks draw inspiration from live shows and soundcheck experiments, blending abrasive electronics and punk/industrial tempos with the compositions of the album Many Things Afflict Us Few Things Console Us. The band describes the experience as a visit to a forbidden wing of a gallery, with each turn being more disorienting than the last. Collaborators include AXEBREAKER (Terence Hannum of Locrian), cellist Jo Quail, and Berlin-based sound designer Manuel Liebeskind.
