In the mid-1980s, Jethro Tull explored new sonic frontiers by incorporating synthesizers and drum machines, marking a bold turning point in their career, while Ian Anderson simultaneously unveiled his solo album Walk Into Light. Today, this major period in the band’s career is revisited through an extensive remixing project by Bruce Soord, offering both versions with the original drums and more natural, enhanced takes, for a faithful yet decidedly modernized reinterpretation. The deluxe 5CD + Blu-ray box set: complete albums, unreleased recordings from 1983-1984, alternate versions, as well as the BBC Live At The Hammersmith Odeon 1984 concert. The Blu-ray offers an immersive high-resolution audio experience, including stereo, 5.1 and Dolby Atmos, complemented by promotional videos. The set is enhanced by a 100-page book, making this edition an essential collector’s item for progressive rock fans. In parallel, Under Wraps: 2026 Drums allows the album to be rediscovered in a more accessible format, thanks to a remix highlighting a renewed approach to the drum parts for a more organic and contemporary listening experience. Iconic tracks such as Lap of Luxury, European Legacy or Radio Free Moscow thus regain a new dimension while respecting the original essence of the work. Offered in 1LP vinyl format, this album is the ideal complement to the deluxe box set for fans wishing to rediscover this pivotal period of Jethro Tull.
