Avec Doggone, Silverstein, an artist known for his unique universe blending introspective folk and sound explorations, presents a deep and inhabited album, recorded in Portland in January 2025 with his collaborator Ryan Oxford, surrounded by renowned musicians like Dana Buoy, Rick Pedrosa, and Alex Chapman, as well as guests such as Devendra Banhart and Merle Law. At the crossroads of loner-folk, cosmic country, and kraut influences, the record explores universal themes such as community, the passage of time, creative legacy, and the connection between music and territory, nourished by a personal discovery related to his family's musical roots. The whole is carried by an intimate and sincere atmosphere, reinforced by strong imagery, notably the cover featuring the iconic Hat 'n' Boots of Seattle, a symbol of memory and transmission.
