"100 MILES" is certainly the wildest and most original adventure an artist could have had in order to make his record and fulfill his childhood dream. A kind of culmination for a singer who has devoted his life to ROCK'N'ROLL in public and to ELVIS in secret. JAKE CALYPSO recorded the vocals for 12 ELVIS ballads in places just as improbable as they were magical. To name just a few: in Memphis, at the KING's college or near his grave behind GRACELAND. In Tupelo, in the house where he was born. In Nashville, facing the RCA Studio or even at the Grand Ole Opry. In Bad Nauheim in Germany, facing the private home rented by ELVIS between 1958 and 1960. In short, the KING's ghost was never far away, thus creating the emotion and magical moment so sought after by JAKE during this pilgrimage. Then the music settled gracefully in a studio in Northern France with 16 different talented musicians.
