Reissue of the iconic self-titled mini-album by Hypnotone! Originally released by Creation Records in 1991, long out of print, it is now reissued, meticulously remastered, and pressed on pristine white vinyl. Formed in the vibrant milieu of Manchester's legendary nightclub Hacienda, Hypnotone was born from the creative partnership of Tony Martin and Martin Mittler.
With the support of Creation Records, Hypnotone created a unique sound by combining recent digital samplers with a collection of classic analog synthesizers. Their self-titled debut mini-album includes the after hours anthems "Sub" and the balearic hit "Dream Beam" featuring the voice of Denise Johnson. Hypnotone not only shaped its distinct sonic footprint but also influenced the broader trajectory of electronic music. Their journey, marked by innovation and a deep affinity with the Manchester music scene, illustrates the transformative power of the cultural and technological changes of the time in the field of music.
This album is another must-have for collectors and early British house (pop) music enthusiasts.
