Waxwork Records is proud to present the first vinyl edition, a deluxe double LP designed to reflect the striking visual identity and emotional intensity of the film. Presented in an elegant gatefold jacket, this record is entirely produced in-house, from design to manufacturing, and offered on "Iridescent Molten" colored vinyl. An exclusive 30 x 30 cm art print completes the package, offering collectors total immersion in the film's visual and sonic universe. Guðnadóttir signs a bold and emotionally charged soundtrack, blending orchestral grandeur with raw punk energy, and perfectly capturing the film's passionate romance, unsettling sensuality, and deep humanity. The director, screenwriter, and producer Maggie Gyllenhaal reflects on the creative process of the music: "Finding the right tone for the music of this film was a real challenge. It had to be both punk, not as a genre, but as a vibe, and romantic. Deeply romantic and moving, it had to express all of that. We also had to take these monsters, these iconic monsters, very seriously. No kitsch allowed. Finding the right tone was a real puzzle. No temp music suited the film's universe, so Hildur had to invent everything. And I think she found the perfect mix between authentic punk and deep romanticism. We had Lee Ranaldo on guitar, in the style of Sonic Youth, layered over a symphony orchestra. David Murray played saxophone with Fever Ray. None of these elements, taken separately, would have worked; it needed a blend. This film is an interweaving of genres and moods, and the music had to reflect that." Karin Dreijer of Fever Ray shares: "I am thrilled to have been invited to participate in this project by Maggie Gyllenhaal! I was already a fan, but from the first reading of the script, I was won over. The language of La Mariée! is poetic, funny, and magical, exactly the universe I love." ABOUT LA MARIÉE: From Maggie Gyllenhaal (Oscar-nominated screenwriter and director for The Lost Daughter) and starring Oscar nominee Jessie Buckley and Oscar winner Christian Bale, comes LA MARIÉE! A bold and iconoclastic reimagining of one of the world's most fascinating stories. Frank (Bale), a lonely man, travels to 1930s Chicago to ask visionary scientist Dr. Euphronious (five-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening) to create a companion for him. Together, they bring a murdered young woman back to life, and the Bride (Buckley) is born. What follows exceeds anything they could have imagined: murder! Possession! A radical cultural movement! And outlaw lovers in a wild and explosive romance!
