Ninth pressing on double black vinyl. Double black vinyl, 12" (33 rpm), in a gatefold sleeve with bronze hot foil stamping and printed inner sleeves. Ninth pressing of 300 copies worldwide! In Germanic, HEILUNG means "healing," which also forms the core of the band's sound. The listener is indeed left serene and relaxed after a magical and initiatory journey. It took 3 years to create "Futha," which was completed on the darkest day of the year, at the winter solstice. Unlike "Ofnir" (2015), this new album has a more feminine symbolism and draws inspiration for its lyrics from ancient Icelandic poetry. There is no point in trying to relate this music to our modern politico-religious context, as HEILUNG takes the listener to a time long before Christianity and modern ideologies.
