On the occasion of the release of the brand-new animated interpretation of Sergei Prokofiev’s symphony, “Peter and the Wolf,” this record of the tale, directed by Gavin Friday and arranged by Maurice Seezer and Gavin Friday himself, is available again. “Peter & The Wolf” is being reissued in audio format, available on CD or 2LP 180 Gr.; the audio has been remastered and includes images from the animated film based on original illustrations by Bono (U2). The brand-new animated interpretation of Sergei Prokofiev’s much-loved symphony, “Peter And The Wolf” aka “Pierre et le loup,” has been transformed into an enchanting and contemporary visual masterpiece that addresses the themes of growing up, loss, courage, transformation and our relationship with nature. Featuring the music and narration of Gavin Friday, as well as illustrations based on original illustrations by Bono, the animated short film is set to premiere later this year and is part of an ongoing relationship with the Irish Hospice Foundation. This unique creative project is led by musician and composer Gavin Friday and sees him narrate the classic tale reimagined, with the Friday Seezer Ensemble performing Prokofiev’s score, newly arranged by Maurice Seezer and Gavin Friday.
