Originally from Porto, GAEREA returns with Loss, their fifth album and first on Century Media. True to their instinct, the band blends their post-black metal past with more catchy and unexpected melodies, while maintaining their emotional intensity. For the first time, sung choruses make an appearance, without betraying GAEREA's sonic identity. Their stage aesthetic, characterized by masks and a ritualistic presence, reinforces an approach that is both physical and introspective.
