With Labyrinthine, their second album, the Los Angeles trio Faetooth delves into deep introspection, exploring grief, memory, and unresolved emotions. Continuing the mystical and heavy path begun with Remnants Of The Vessel (2022), the band expands its "fairy doom" universe, blending shoegaze, doom, and grunge. True to its title, the album progresses like a sonic and emotional labyrinth, where wandering leads to understanding. Rather than aiming for catharsis, Faetooth invites reflection, meandering, and acceptance of intimate wounds.
