Crystal SHAWANDA is a 38-year-old Canadian Blues singer who is offering us her 8th album here. She began her career in 2008 with an album with a rather Country repertoire (recorded in Nashville for that reason). This album sold more than 50,000 copies at the time and reached the Top 20 of the Billboard Country chart. For the past 5 albums, she has turned to a “Blues” repertoire. With still a few Country influences in her music, but also Gospel. Awarded a Juno Awards in 2021 for her last album "Church House Blues", she returns with a new album. 10 tracks including 6 new compositions and 4 covers (Willie Dixon and Buddy Guy notably).
