'Blue Record' announces the awakening of the giants of Savannah rock, BARONESS. 'Blue Record' is an instant classic, with all the peaks and valleys, textures and nuances that timeless records reveal over repeated listens. Deep and dark, 'Blue Record' is full of hazy melodies and striking, serious riffs that have become the band’s signature. 'Blue Record' is the most poignant moment in the BARONESS canon to date. After being revealed by 'RedAlbum' in 2007, which was critically acclaimed and is now essential, the four Americans of BARONESS return with a new album that will mark an era, Blue Record. Recorded in Dallas alongside JOHN CONGLETON (EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, THE POLYPHONIC SPREE, BLACK MOUNTAIN), this album is a true masterpiece of sludge metal. Often compared to MASTODON and influenced in particular by the sound of post-punk, progressive or post-hardcore bands, BARONESS asserts its identity in a unique and eclectic genre of heavy metal that skillfully blends aggression and melody.
