Alfa Mist is back with "Variables", his most complete work to date! Since the release of his first full-length project "Nocturne" in 2015, Alfa has established himself as one of the UK's most focused, in-demand and distinct musical voices. He has worked with artists like Jordan Rakei and Tom Misch. It's the question of the journey that underpins Alfa's fifth album, "Variables". Traversing lush big band swing, head-nodding boom-bap rhythms and nostalgic vocal melodies, the album is expansive, soulful and moving, both in body and spirit. On "Variables", Alfa delivers his most complete and expressive musical work to date, pairing his keen ear for looped, memorable and emotive piano melodies with intuitive grooves and fluid jazz improvisation. It's the balance of feeling and perfectionism that gives Alfa's music its depth and repeat listenability. It's also a philosophy that has seen him adopt a remarkable work ethic to date.
