Anyone who has had the chance to watch the small group of musicians around Emilie Satt evolve has long known that V For Vertigo is not just another female vocalist album. Their music aims only for one ideal: the song that remains, in all its obviousness, regardless of styles or registers. Songs that strive only for the essentials, with a voice ready to send shivers down your spine over simple words. Those of raw emotion. In V For Vertigo, one will find a true quality of writing on which a real complementarity between the musicians is based. Not refusing either the appeal of a silky production, the fruitful contribution of 24-carat guests (Hugh Coltman, Johan Dalgaard .) Vertigo also knows that the strength of this first album lies in its accessibility. Its truth, shall we say, illuminated by the multitude of images that emerge from it, as if to better underline its evocative power.
