The release of a new album by Toundra is great news for anyone who appreciates fully instrumental and rather powerful Post Rock. Between airy delicacy and fiery attacks, the Spaniards maintain a course of breathless and energetic music where even the violin incursions and acoustic passages blend wonderfully with the whole. Toundra once again demonstrates that you don't need an armada of instruments to create beautiful atmospheres and strong emotions. Bright, varied, original, and very progressive in both substance and form. This "Vortex" marks yet another success for the talented Madrid quartet.
