After more than half a century of success (18 Grammy Awards), the career of the legendary crooner Tony Bennett - 89 years old - experienced, at the dawn of the 2000s, a new recognition with the release of his 2 duet albums, including the iconic tracks with Amy Winehouse and Lady Gaga. In sixty years of career, Tony Bennet is one of the few artists who has managed to create, internationally, a true bridge between pop and jazz. Today, with - The Silver Lining:The Songs of Jerome Kern" he delivers, alongside the brilliant jazz pianist Bill Charlap - a formidable interpreter of American standards and leader of a splendid trio for nearly twenty years - a brilliant tribute to Jerome Kern, one of the greatest composers of Broadway and Hollywood. With more than 700 songs to his credit, he is behind many hits that Tony Bennett invites us to discover or rediscover in this little gem of sweetness, swing, and sensuality.
