The German trumpeter Till Brönner, a true star of jazz in Germany, teams up with his longtime bassist and collaborator Dieter Ilg to deliver an album where covers of great pop standards are both stripped down, intimate, and catchy. Alongside "Eleanor Rigby" by the Beatles, "A Thousand Kisses Deep" by Leonard Cohen, and "Nobody Else but Me" by Jerome Kern, there are also three original songs by the duo, who also arranged all the songs.
