For the first time in their careers, these two giants of the blues joined forces to record this album. Blending covers and original compositions, TajMo features contributions from artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Joe Walsh, Sheila E., and Lizz Wright. On Taj Mo, Taj Mahal and Keb'Mo' are at the top of their game, their styles intertwining to create irresistible music that is both firmly rooted in tradition and deeply innovative. With Don't Leave Me Here, Taj Mahal and Keb'Mo' deliver a true love letter to the American South that immediately sounds like a classic. The track Soul is, in turn, a subtle blend of world music and blues, of the kind only Taj Mahal can conjure. The two musicians also deliver a moving version of John Mayer's Waiting on the World to Change, on which Bonnie Raitt lends her inimitable voice.
