Recorded in 1986 and released on the ECM label, the album Ocean by German composer and multi-instrumentalist Stephan Micus is now part of the Touchstones series. On this occasion, the album is reissued in a CD digisleeve version. Recorded with hammered dulcimer, sho (Japanese mouth organ) and shakuhachi, Ocean offers a set of acoustic ambient performances in which the natural sounds of the instruments create vast atmospheres with organic timbres.
