The electric elite!
We have worn out and abused the reference to Shellac to define the music of Sloy, especially since it was Steve Albini who produced "Plug" in 1995. Strong bass, sharp drumming as desired, distorted and shrill guitar, love of syncopation, deranged singing, the Rennes trio stood out from any influence and offered a record impervious to the erosion of time. Sloy thus infiltrated our collective memory and became forever rooted in the pantheon of true noise tamers.
