Scott Gilmore describes his approach very simply: I make music using synthesizers, drum machines, bass, and electric and acoustic guitars. I try to write music that is both beautiful and appealing, and to create many melodies, harmonies, and counterpoints that intertwine and produce a dynamic effect. My influences include Brian Eno, Cluster, Kraftwerk, Stereolab, Talking Heads, YMO, Ethiopian music from the 70s and 80s, J.S. Bach, and the outtakes from the Smile sessions of the Beach Boys.
