At just 18 years old and full of talent, Sabrina Carpenter first made a name for herself as an actress. Since 2014, she has played the role of Maya, Riley's brave and independent friend in the Disney series Girl Meets World. She has also appeared in several successful films and series. But Sabrina Carpenter's greatest passion is music. In addition to being an actress, Sabrina sings and writes her own songs. On March 14, 2014, she released her first single, "Can't Blame A Girl For Trying." A month later, an EP of the same name was released. Since then, her career has taken off. All her singles have been viewed millions of times on YouTube. Sabrina now has two full albums to her credit. An impressive track record considering her young age and the fact that she has continued to pursue her acting career alongside it. When she talks about her sources of inspiration, Sabrina Carpenter cites Adele and Christina Aguilera. She shares with these two singers a desire to offer sincere lyrics. Her pop songs explore different moods: they are romantic, upbeat, and sometimes even, as is the case with her latest single Thumbs, a bit dark. Yet each time, Sabrina Carpenter delivers very personal, unique music that carries a positive message.
