Rob Halford, the leader and singer of Judas Priest, is releasing a brand new album... and it's Christmas songs! Be warned, we are obviously far from the little singers of Croix de Bois; this is heavy and hard-hitting... Presented under the banner of "Rob Halford with Family and Friends" (his brother Nigel on drums, his nephew Alex on bass, and his sister Sue on... bells, accompanied by guitarists Richard Jones and Jon Blakey). Celestial includes original compositions and powerful covers of Christmas songs (God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Joy to the World, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing). As Rob states about his album: "The Metal Maniacs - as we call ourselves - are just as ready and excited for the holiday season as anyone else! We tried with this music to reach as many Metal Maniacs as possible! Metal fans now have their own Christmas music!"
