For Rhye (Michael Milosh), home represents the nerve center of creativity and community. Much like the culmination of an inner journey, home is like a soothing balm for the soul — a place to be oneself. Throughout his career, this singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has wandered between Toronto, Montreal, Thailand, the Netherlands, Germany, and Los Angeles, several times over. Since Rhye’s meteoric rise with his debut album Woman - 2013 -, he has spent much of his life on the road, playing between 50 and 100 concerts a year. The album was written between 2019 and 2020, recorded in his home studio as well as at United Recording and Revival at The Complex, mixed by Alan Mould (Nince Inch Nails, Interpol, My Bloody Valentine, U2, The Killers). Home is typical of Rhye in its propulsive beats, orchestral flourishes and voluptuous piano-led melodies, as well as that genderless voice. A sensual blend that has never been so cohesive and alive.
