From May 17 to 25, 1962, Ray Charles returned to Paris for a series of memorable concerts. The Genius, accompanied by his big band and the Raelets led by the dazzling Margie Hendrix, is at the height of his art. Designed by Joël Dufour and produced with the support of Michel Brillié and Gilles Pétard, this 3-CD box set features unreleased tracks and bonuses, including studio recordings on Ray Charles' own label, where he accompanies his favorite artists: Percy Mayfield and Louis Jordan. Finally, "Blue Stone," his great instrumental work on alto sax, which he never recorded in the studio, is the rare gem of this album.
