PETROS KLAMPANIS presents “Chroma” (“color” in Greek), an ambitious project, both personally and artistically: the double bassist portrays a journey of introspection and emotions through an infinite spectrum of colors... What are the elements that make up each of us, our characters, our individuality? Starting from this question, PETROS KLAMPANIS has developed a palette of a thousand and one shades, in the service of compositions inspired by his collaborations, his travels, his encounters. Alongside Gilad Hekselman, Shai Maestro, John Hatfield, Keita Ogawa and a string octet, PETROS KLAMPANIS offers a new album that can be described without hesitation as a symphonic jazz work.
