At the dawn of the eighties, the Pat Metheny Group (here composed of the indispensable Lyle Mays on synths, Steve Rodby on bass, Dan Gottlieb on drums and Nana Vasconcelos on percussion) is unquestionably one of the flagship acts of the Munich label. One of the finest showcases of progressive jazz leaning toward electronics (still in its infancy!) or ambient jazz as light as ether. An ideal definition of a smooth and polished sound, revealing infinite riches behind its technical perfection. An album more modern than ever.
