Nevermind is a group of four young musicians and friends, whose love of early music and the influence of jazz and traditional music led them to come together to record their first album, whose virtuosity is matched only by its fervor and love of beautiful music... Nevermind take on the treasures of the Baroque and two completely little-known French composers. The first, Jean-Baptiste Quentin (1690-c.1750), “dessus de violon” at the Académie Royale de Musique (the Paris Opera), is a regular in Parisian salons, where he mingles notably with Rameau. The second, Louis-Gabriel Guillemain (1705-1770), studied in Italy before joining the court of Versailles. Sometimes fanciful and often very complex in Guillemain, always clear and classical in Quentin, their writing nevertheless shares one common point: the dominance of the Italian style. Alpha Classics continues its discovery of young talent through this project led by the brilliant musicians of Nevermind. Their credo: To introduce the general public to the riches of a music that has been ignored for too long.
