With "Since", Missing Waves, the duo formed by Marie-Catherine Mossé and Daniel Palomo Vinuesa, opens a new chapter in their sonic exploration. "Since"? A simple word, carrying the memory of what we are and what changes. Continuing from Post Crash (2018), their music continues to play with the fragile balance between humans and machines. Freely following in a lineage that goes from Bowie in the Eno years to Kate Bush, and from Portishead to current trends in electronica, Since invents a free, poetic, and spontaneous pop, where every sound seems to remember something. The studio is their shared playground, but Missing Waves remains first and foremost a duo of musicians. Their practice of singing, wind instruments, and piano infuses an organic and living dimension. Their music reflects an eclectic journey, where minimalism, psychedelia, reggae dub, world music, jazz, and progressive rock intersect. Missing Waves signs an album that is both singular and adventurous, suspended between yesterday and tomorrow.
