After being bad and dangerous, Michael Jackson declares himself invincible. Undoubtedly, he is not insensitive to the promises of positive thinking. It has been a while since the king lost his sovereignty in the world of black and white music. This album, which cost the tidy sum of 21 million dollars, aims to bring him back to his throne. The bulk of the production work rests on the solid shoulders of Rodney Jerkins. The latter provides a wealth of r&b beats with a surprisingly hard sound.
A coherent collection of a wide range of styles, "Invincible" also contains a significant number of ballads, sweet, syrupy, gospel-style R. Kelly or ethereal.
Composed by Teddy Riley, the tribal 2000 Watts brings a welcome dose of the unexpected in the mapped world of the "king of pop."
