The latest album by American singer Lizz Wright, Grace, offers a striking glimpse into the network of stories and songs whose deeply rooted and intimately intertwined roots connect the very diverse traditions that make up the soul of the Deep South of the United States. Wright here summons her Southern heritage and the spirit of the places to introduce us to a nurturing space that pulses and vibrates with the silent suggestion that grace is the foundation of our state of origin. Produced by the talented singer and songwriter Joe Henry, Grace allows Wright to question her place and to assert without hesitation her intimate feeling of belonging to the great cultural fabric of America.
