Barely three years after the release of their last studio album "Sandglass" and 52 years after the band's formation, the legendary German rock group KRAAN finally releases a new addition to their musical legacy for the greatest pleasure of their fans. And it was truly worth the wait. On "Zoup," the band celebrates their innovative and timeless blend of rock and jazz, enriched with psychedelic and funk elements, in a completely natural way. The eight new compositions, characterized by sophisticated harmonies and grooves, are electrifying. While bassist Hellmut Hattler and drummer Jan Frides provide a powerful and groovy rhythm, guitarist Peter Wolbrandt captivates with his delicate string and synthesizer playing. Always cohesive in their interaction, the trio manages to maintain their group sound while offering surprising new ideas (and an occasional pop appeal). Keyboardist Ingo Bischof, who passed away in 2019, is also featured on the track "Aus aller Wolken." The CD includes three bonus tracks.
