For a year, as part of their residency at Triton, Himiko Paganotti and Emmanuel Borghi have been exploring possibilities with their group Himiko in all its forms. As a duo in an intimate and dreamlike setting, as a 100% family quartet with master bassist Bernard Paganotti and powerful drummer Antoine Paganotti, as a quintet with the extraordinary guitarist Nguyên Lê, and finally as a nonet with the addition of vibraphonist Illya Amar and a string quartet. In its quintet format, Himiko presents us with “Pearl Diver,” their first album on the Triton label, recorded during the last two concerts as a nonet. Do you love the Himiko group on stage? This album is made for you!
