The famous British punk/rock band FISHER-Z returns with a new album engaged and current. Fischer-Z is a British punk/rock band known for its melodic songs, poetic lyrics, clever social and political commentary, and experimental textures. In 42 years of career, the band has released 20 albums, given more than 3,000 concerts around the world, and sold over two million albums. Fischer-Z started in 1977 and can be contextualized at the end of the 1970s in the school of intelligent, eccentric, energetic punk bands loaded with hooks that overlapped with the new wave and post-punk movements. The band's early catalog fits perfectly with the productions of XTC, Talking Heads, Wire, and Mission Of Burma. In 2019, Fischer-Z is still very much alive! Always up to their legendary ways of challenging the audience with theatrical performances and incendiary versions of their favorite works. Swimming In Thunderstorms is a current album both in its songs and in its spirit, with sturdy and dreamy rock guitars, a celestial atmosphere, and artistic and imaginative touches. John Watts once again demonstrates his talent as a singer, guitarist, and poet!
