The heavyweights of reggae / soul are back! FAT FREDDY'S DROP will release their 3rd album, "Blackbird" on June 24, 2013 on their own label The Drop. After 500,000 cumulative sales of their 2 previous albums and a thousand concerts since their formation, FAT FREDDY'S DROP are therefore aiming for recognition with these 9 new tracks. "Blackbird" was written, composed and recorded in their own studio The Bays in New Zealand. Joe Dukie’s (singer) & Chopper Reid’s crew break free from constraints and develop, on this new album, tracks with variable structures, reflecting even more the spirit they convey live. Expect a mix of reggae, dub, disco, blues and soul, and even a hint of electronic funk!
